In this section, you will find resources for water treatment technologies including both plant structure and chemical regulation components. The main challenge AguaClara faces is the development of a design for water treatment plant using only flocculation and sedimentation (see section in 'Research Needs' on Rapid Sand Filtration for disadvantages). The treatment train should reliably achieve a turbidity of less than 1 NTU, while the influent waters in Honduras often have turbidity values of up to 500 NTU.
