Student chapters are the heart of the ESW organization, providing a direct link between ESW resources and individuals with a passion for development. Some goals of student chapters are to:
- Undertake engineering-based service projects in partnership with underserved communities both in the United States and abroad
- Raise awareness of global development challenges and the role of engineering in addressing them, and provide a forum to encourage discussion of these issues
- Encourage students to undertake research addressing development challenges
- Serve as a clearinghouse for information related to engineering and service on your campus
- Publicize and facilitate ESW national organization internships
More information about ESW chapters across the United States and their role in the national ESW organization is available at http://www.esustainableworld.org.
For students attending Cornell University who are unable to enroll in CEE 492, the perfect way to get involved in Engineers for a Sustainable World is to join the Cornell ESW Student Chapter.
